Ndoto Njema Foundation (Swahili for "Beautiful Dream") is a registered, youth-led non-governmental organization operating in Tanzania mainland under registration number 00NGO/R/7448, in accordance with the NGO Act of 2002.
We were founded by Dr. Niva Zakayo Daudi, a clinical officer and public health leader, and Dr. Jerome Justine, a medical doctor and community health advocate. What began as a grassroots response to stigma, health inequity, and misinformation has grown into a nationwide movement for inclusive, community-driven health solutions.
Our journey began in hospital corridors and village classrooms. We saw how stigma and misinformation deepened suffering—mothers silenced by postpartum depression, youth battling mental health issues in isolation, and communities unable to act against preventable illness due to fear and lack of information.
Ndoto Njema Foundation was born out of a desire to change that narrative. We believe health begins with dignity, and that real change starts from the ground up. From menstrual hygiene talks in primary schools to national mental health summits, we’ve grown into a platform where youth voices shape systems—and where compassion drives action.
Today, we are not just an NGO. We are a growing movement that believes every person deserves the right to health, voice, and hope.
